Privacy Policy — Nuktah
We respect your privacy. This policy explains how the Nuktah app collects, uses, and shares your data.
Data we collect
- Account data: your email address when you create an account, stored with our hosting provider Supabase.
- Your educational data: student names, IDs, and grades that you import from an Excel workbook or scan — this belongs to you, stays on your device, and is never uploaded to our servers.
- Grade-sheet photos: when you agree in-app, the photo is sent to Nuktah AI (powered by Google Gemini) solely to read grades.
- Limited technical logs: usage data (such as tokens processed per scan) and error logs via Sentry to improve the service.
- Anti-abuse records: IP address, browser/device information, and a normalized form of your email, recorded at account creation to prevent automated sign-ups and free-scan quota abuse, retained for up to 12 months.
What we do not collect
We do not collect your location or contacts, and we never sell your data.
Advertising
The app shows ads (banner, interstitial, and rewarded) through Google AdMob. Watching a rewarded ad is optional and grants you 1 credit, up to 5 times per day. Google may collect advertising identifiers and interaction data under its own policies.
Payments
Purchases are processed by the payment provider Chargily. Your card number is handled by Chargily and never passes through our servers.
Who we share data with
- Google — processes grade-sheet photos through Nuktah AI to extract grades.
- Chargily — processes payments.
- Supabase — hosting and database (European Union — Frankfurt, Germany).
- Sentry — technical error logs.
- Google AdMob — serves ads and reads optional rewarded-ad completions.
We do not share your data with anyone else beyond the providers listed above.
Retention and deletion
You can delete your account at any time in the app: Profile → Delete account. On confirmation, your account, credits, and history are permanently removed from our servers, and classes, grades, and all local data are cleared from your device.
If you no longer have access to the app, use the web account-deletion form, or email noonnuktah@gmail.com from the address on your account with the subject "Delete account" and we will complete the deletion for you.
Security
All data is transmitted over encrypted HTTPS connections.
Your rights (Algerian Law 18-07)
You have the right to access, correct, and delete your data. To exercise any of these rights, email: noonnuktah@gmail.com
Children's privacy
The app is intended for professional use by teachers and is not directed at children.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time; the last-updated date appears at the top of this page.
